Start your day with a Zen Breakfast that captures the spirit of Japan's culinary traditions.
Our Zen Breakfast offering is in the ‘Shojin Ryori’-style, a type of traditional Japanese vegetarian Buddhist cuisine.
Carefully prepared by the chefs at Izusen, a renowned Kyoto restaurant established in the Meiji Period (1871),
your Zen Breakfast will be delivered right to your machiya house.
Shojin Ryori is a vegetarian/vegan multi-dish cuisine enjoyed by Japanese monks that is rooted in Buddhist teachings.
Its dishes often include grains, legumes, and vegetables, emphasizing the natural flavors of each ingredient.
Although the seasoning is minimal, the dishes are far from lacking in flavor!
Each seasonal ingredient is thoughtfully prepared to enhance its natural richness, creating a flavorful and nutritious dining experience.
The delivery time for the Zen Breakfast will vary depending on the machiya house you have reserved. The collection of breakfast dishes from your machiya house will take place between 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
